How to make Paneer Lababdar Recipe at home in Sanjeev Kapoor Style

 


 

Have you ever wondered what it's like to taste something close to a dish made by Sanjeev Kapoor? 

 

Well we have an exotic recipe of Paneer that you cannot say no to at any cost . Here is a recipe for you which is the most popular dish in North India. Paneer Lababdar is a dish you will find in all the restaurants in North of India. It is famous for its rich gravy and creamy texture. This recipe follows the steps of Sanjeev Kapoor’s style of preparing. Just follow these steps and tips and you will fall in love with the taste of this dish. 

 

Paneer Lababdar is easy to prepare. It will hardly take 40 minutes including the cutting of the vegetables . Always use fresh paneer and coriander leaves


INGREDIENTS

  • GRATED PANEER 


50g

  • oil 


2 tbsps

  • CASHEWS 


10-12

  • GREEN CARDAMOM


2 cloves

  • TOMATOES


1.5 cup

  • CHOPPED onions

  • SALT 


Acc. to your taste

  • CUMIN SEEDS 


1 tbsp

  • BUTTER 


2 tbsp

  • FINELY CHOPPED GARLIC


1 tbsp

  • GREEN CHILLI 

 

chopped

  • KASHMIRI RED CHILLY POWDER

 

1 tbsp

  • KASURI METHI (FENUGREEK LEAVES) POWDER

½ tbsp 

  • HONEY

1 tbsp

  • GARAM MASALA 

¼ tbsp

  • CORIANDER LEAVES 

 

2 tbsp

  • FRESH CREAM (FOR GARNISHING ) 

 

1 tbsp


STEPS TO PREPARE PANEER LABABDAR 





Step 1. 

 Take 1 TBSP oil in a kadai.

 

Step 2. 

Add cumin seeds, cardamom , and cloves. Saute for 2 minutes .

 

Step 3.

 Add chopped onions.  Mix them well till they get golden in colour and do not overcook them. 

 

Step 4. 

Add chopped tomatoes and mix them well.

 

Step 5. 

Add salt to taste. 

 

Step 6. 

 Now add Cashews. Give it a mix. 

 

 

Step 7. 

It’s time to bring your mixer-grinder and transfer these into your blender jar (mixer jar) . Add ½ cup of water and blend it till it becomes a fine paste. 

 

Step 8. 

 Now it's time to get back to the kadai, heat 1 tbsp oil and add ginger, Garlic and green chilli mix it for a while .

  

Step 9.

 Add Kashmiri red chilli powder in it and saute let the colour  spread evenly .

 

Step 10. 

Add the mixed paste and add ½ cup of water in it. Mix it well and bring it to a boil. 

Step 11. 

 Add dry kasuri methi powder and mix it well. 

 

Step 12

Add a little bit of honey (optional) around 1 tsp spoon .  This will give a mild sweet taste .

Step 13. 

Now gently mix and now carefully add the Paneer cubes. Be gentle with it, you don't want to break the cubes. Mix it properly.

 

Step 14. 

Adjust the taste of salt accordingly and add garam masala powder 1 tsp. 

 

Step 15. 

 Add fresh coriander leaves  (chopped) And carefully mix it .

 

Step 16. 

Turn the gas off and transfer the dish into a serving bowl and garnish it with some cream.
